If the police cant come to stop the looting they cant come to see who shot who either. it used to be the law, looters were shot on sight. that kinda made it not worth stealing . Shoot on sight orders for looters will do wonders to stop it. And Im pretty sure detecives arent going to spend a whole lot of time finding out who shot the guy with the arm full of chips.

I'm in favor of this. You should be able to defend your property with lethal force IMO. Lots of people will say "the life lost is worth more than some stuff so you can't shoot the looters/robbers". I say F that, to me my stuff is worth more than their life. Yes, really. To you it might just be a car, to me it's the tool I use to go to work so I can provide for my family. That vehicle is life and death for me and my family, so too bad, that little shit-thug had to go. You got another thing coming if you think I'm just going to sit by and let some worthless piece of shit criminal steal from me. Don't want to get shot? Then don't try to steal from me.
Disliking looters doesn’t mean people don't also dislike the other undesirables you mentioned. Should we never talk about looting being an issue because child molesters exist?

Correct me if I’m wrong but NY Penal code does not allow for the use of deadly force when protecting property, only for protecting human life or to stop a crime such as rape or arson.

I always thought it was harsh, in the old western movies, that they hung horse thieves. then I grew up and realized that if you stole someones horse out in the middle of nowhere it could be a death sentence for that person or group.
I always tell people who are not pro gun, who say thats why we have police. I say ,Did you ever have a deer jump out in front of car? yes. What did you do? ""I hit the brakes" or " I swerved"" I say why didnt you call the SPCA or the police? Well there isnt any time for that. I say, there you go. you have miliseconds or seconds to decide if your going to be alive tommorrow. How you react in that small time frame is going to determine the rest of your life.
Its absurd to ask people to step aside and allow criminals to take everything they worked for. to me, thats the state trying to hold power when all law and order is gone. its crazy.
