Lubing Rifle Cases for Resising

I will be starting to load several different calibers of rifles 222, 223, 243, 35Rem, 30/30, 30/06/ 7mmMag and a couple of others.
What is your preferred way to lube the cases for resizing?

After resizing do you wet tumble the brass to clean the grease/spray from the cases?
If so when do you trim the brass. I'd assume after resizing.

Lanolin and alcohol. (Make you own. Get 99% rubbing alcohol)

Resize. Then trim. Then clean.

I still use an RCBS pad and lube. Came with the kit I bought. I will usually run it through a cleaning cycle after resizing.

With that said after i run out I'm ditching the pad. I will either go with what Eddie mentioned above or try the offering from brass juice. The wash worked so well I'm open to trying the lube.

I have been using Hornady One Shot for 222/223 that I have been using. I'll pick up the stuff to make the mix and some dry lube for the necks like Robin uses.
I am also going to get a cordless inline screwdriver and make a bit out of hex stock to screw into the trimmer instead of cranking the handle by hand.

Where do you pick the lanolin up from? Walmart.

Looking on the Walmart website they have lanolin liquid, cream and ointment.
So many choices. What kind should I buy?

Like Eddie says,,,Lanolin and alcohol. Throw cases in a bowl, spray once, mix them up and do the same thing once or twice more. Cheap and works like a dream. You can pick up the shit from Amazon.

I use the lanolin and alcohol. I put the cases in a plastic container or a zip lock, spray some lube, then shake it around a bit.

Petroleum jelly. I ran out of actual sizing lube, and tried petroleum jelly. Works perfectly fine. Haven’t had the need to buy or make anything else.

Lee paste. Cheap , never had a stuck case.

Do NOT use the Hornady one shot whatever you do.

I you want you can also resize, reload and then just dry tumble your completed rounds. Better make damn sure the primer pockets are clean before priming though. I personally resize, wet tumble (two 1 hour cycles) and then trim. It's so much nicer working with bone dry cases.

Dry lube the neck with the stuff Robin linked, Imperial sizing wax on the body - very light, just tap a finger on it, transfer some to thumb and spin the case between your two fingers, stay off the shoulder.

I ordered a 4 ounce container of liquid lanolin today. $9 and $1.10 shipping.

Tomorrow I will stop at Walmart and buy the alchohol and a spray bottle.

If you get some isopropyl based dry gas it will have a higher alcohol concentration than the rubbing alcohol in the pharmacy section.

I had read to use the HEET in the red bottle. I mixed some up, seems gtg. I haven't actually used it on any reloads yet. Wash it off in wet tumbler?

Would a sonic cleaner be good to clean the brass after resizing?

I use imperial wax, easy to clean off and haven’t had a stuck case since I started using 8 years ago.

Wet tumble SS media. Giant tumbler. I have the biggest jug as well. My actual tumbler is the top picture in the below link. I convinced him to start painting them years ago!

back from the reloading shop .. man its been a while being in there working ..

its a outside shed 16x16 .. no heat unless i fire up the wood stove ..

well .. that lanolin and alcohol in the spray bottle had a mess ..

it leaked out and now have a sticky mess on the bench ..

you will have to keep that mixture warm

I got the lanolin and imperial dry neck lube ordered, just waiting for it to come in. I bought the red bottle of Heet dry gas and a bottle of 99% rubbing alchohol and two spray bottles fromWalmart. I will mix up two batches, one whit Heet the other with rubbing alcohol and see which one I like better.

I want to hook up a power drill or cordless screwdriver up to either my Lyman or rcbs case trimmer before I get to far into this adventure. .

I've been trying to find a rifle caee online but can't seem to find them anywhere. I want to buy one and lube one so that I can resis it.

I resized a hundred 243 Winchester pieces of brass this evening. Tomorrow night I will load up.some 44spl brass and some 38spl & 357 magnum for my grandson to shoot Saturday or Sunday.

Tomorrow is Friday, who's going to be drinking?
