For Sale is a Springfield Armory National Match M1 Garand. Serial number is in the 5.4 million range which dates it to about 1954. It has all the National Match parts that distinguish it from a standard service grade rifle. These special parts are stamped with a "NM" for National Match. This rifle has NM F & R sights, barrel, gas cylinder, op rod, and more. It also has a tuned trigger and bedded stock. It is an accurate rifle in VG + condition.
I've owned this rifle since the early 70's and have put less than 100 rounds through it. I did shoot it in one service rifle match and shot my bolt rifle average. I was pleasantly surprised. Since I was a dedicated match rifle (bolt action) competitor it has just sat in the safe. Last summer my wife's nephews from CA. visited and were dying to shoot it. Needless to say they had a blast...
Time for it to find a new home. Looking for $2300 + freight.
Please PM with questions or if you need specific pictures.
Thanks,
Anthony
