On first viewing, I did not even see the knife. On replay, the shooting looked legit to me. The woman was saved from serious injury, or death, by the quick actions by the police officer.

Most people can't see everything from the camera.

This is why I usually wait until I closely inspect all facts prior to making a decision.

I try to always keep emotional and personal bias on hold.

Unfortunately, the JOB may cost more than what's acceptable. It does become a vocation and being stuck with something you love is very hard to leave, even for better $. This is true with a wide range of dangerous jobs. I do think though that the current state of affairs is going to negatively impact the law enforcement community for a long, long time! Especially now with the Executive Branch of Govt chiming in and sucking up to a particular demographic!

Sounds like a great opportunity to go door-to-door and start asking these people this question:
"Would you like police to stop responding to calls from this area?"

you can even pose follow-up questions if you want more detail:
"What do you expect to happen in the event that someone is robbing, murdering, or raping in this area?"


These people are all too quick to shout "defund the police" when they think they'll get a payday (be it money or "free" stuff). What do they think the end-game will be if there are no police to respond to crime?
