The suspension of its plants underscores how Covid-19 is disrupting key portions of a global supply chain already struggling with inadequate capacity, particularly for a variety of low-end chips that automakers from Tesla Inc. to Toyota Motor Corp. require to make their cars. The Japanese giant said last month it would suspend production at 14 plants because suppliers, particularly in Southeast Asia, have been hit by new Covid infections and lockdowns.

How does the average joe get to work when even a $100 part puts his only car out of service for weeks or months .This whole society could slowly shut down on itself. ... We are not only talking car parts folks ... How about a part for your furnace next January when it is 10 below and all your pipes freeze ... This list is of scenarios is endless..

I get what you are saying, but if your pipes freeze and you are aware you are without heat it's your fault - you should have drained the lines of water. Water pipes without water in them don't freeze and burst.

Hell, we have several Toyota models that have OEM ROTORS on backorder with no ETA. We're using Chinese white box junk or whatever we can get just to get by.

not sure what a Wrangler RN is (Rubicon?) but the 2021 Gladiators apparently suffer from leaking right rear axle seals.
Jeep is reporting replacements, which include the seal, bearing, and right rear axle shafts, are MONTHS out.

Now .. If that jeep belonged to a single car owner how does one keep a job without great difficulty.... In short order rental units will vanish from the volume of people needing a spare auto.. This economy could grind to a halt due to covid without being sick yourself. I understand there will be workarounds .. .. Co workers can shuttle folks .But not always. With Covid will many folks want you in their auto for that 45 minute drive...

Good luck. Mowers have been tough to come by since late spring. My JD dealer said in May that they had no zero turns available until at least August.
