how much time have you had working in the inner city? Have you run any service calls (Heating, plumbing, electrical) in the inner city for people on welfare.? woking in the inner city is one reason I went and got a permit. Some people have absolutely no respect for people trying to HELP THEM!!!!

Inner city work? All my life. Not by my choice, but happenstance.

Am I an HVAC technician? No. So irrelevant question.

in the early 90's I worked for a Management company that had over 300 inner city properties. Like you I found that many of the people friendly and accommodating. I also had a number of "privileged" inner city families that thought I was their slave and demanded I fix all kinds of stupid shit. More than once I was yelled at for not getting to there home fast enough and they started to yell me, I mean YELLING, swearing, calling me every name in the book. These people called me a racist, and I didn't care if their children froze to death, blah,blah,blah. In front of children as young as 2 or 3, THOSE people went cold for the night. I don't work for mean people, I don't care what the temperature is. I went back the next day and their attitude was a huge improvement, although I don't recall anyone apologizing.
After that kind of crap for 3 years, I quite doing anything in the inner city. I don't need the abuse

I've had customers like I handled them roughly the same way. I don't need every customer, not going out of business tomorrow, so if they were an asshole I'd either tell them No thanks or add an "asshole tax" to the bill. TBH most of my entitled customers where in more well to do areas of the county, the ghetto people were just happy you were there

Not enough money in the world. Also not enough perfume or soap in the world to get that funky stank off. How the hell is that funk smell even made? I swear that smell is the universal link between all inner city housing, regardless of size or location.
