Manage media/pics attachments??

I cannot find a local folder with a huge amount of pictures related to reloads and ballistics.
I know many of those I have uploaded all over the place (many threads) but I don't recall exactly in what thread/s so
how do we access our uploaded pictures to be able to manage them?
In the past we used to have a place in our account called your attachments or something like that.
I also have lots of photofucket defunct links that I should probably review but that is a different story.
Please help.

So, any kind of self-management or viewer of previously uploaded attachments for users is not, and has never been, a part of the core Xenforo platform. Why not?.. I don't know, as it does seem like it would make so much sense.

Like most useful features in Xenforo though, there are third-party plugins we can use which achieve this. You mention that this was something we had in the past (prior to the switch to Xenforo v2+ no doubt), but I actually don't see that in the list of 'Legacy' plugins (The term for plugins which no longer function because they were compatible only with earlier Xen core software versions). It's still possible though, as some may have been removed entirely. I don't recall, and honestly this is more of an @NYGuns thing than a HEX thing..heh.

Anyway, in looking it up now I do see that the plugins we would have used then (whether we did before or not) to do exactly that are no longer compatible. There is however a current one which does that and has some additional useful features. It's not free, but nor is it terribly expensive. ($20 to buy and $15 yearly). We could certainly discuss implementing it. Since I've only now just looked into it, I'm not yet certain if implementing it now would cover all past attachments or only those made after implementing.

Oh, also I should probably mention that this is actually entirely possible already if the uploads were made using our current 'Media' functionality. Those images could be used for display in threads without re-uploading, and can be searched by one's own content, but that hasn't proved to be a very popular option.. and I kind of get it. It's perhaps not entirely intuitive when it comes to using the images in threads and it's not automatically implemented and turned onto 'Media' content when attachments are uploaded.

Maybe we just need to better explain how the media section can be used with personal albums and such; as well as how to use the images in threads. The plugin to manage attachments would be a far simpler solution for users though I think.

Doesn't really matter whether we did or didn't have it before. I wasn't intending to be contridictory, just saying I didn't know. The important part is what we have now or may have in the future I suppose. vBulletin does have the occasional good feature that we may lack by using Xenforo , but the benefits of Xen outweigh the negatives by a looooongshot.

If you're looking for something specific, I do have the ability to search out attachments by username within the admin control panel. It would be a little bit of work to find something specific no doubt, but I would do it if it's something important to you.

I agree. The benefits of xenforo are very welcome.
I have seen an attachments in other xenforo forums. I think it is a plug-in and then it shows up in your account.

Yep, as I said in the first response there, we would have to purchase the plugin. Probably this one.

Also as I said though, I'm not certain if it would then work for past attachments or only those made after we installed it. Only looked for it in my research for responding here, and haven't read all the fine print.

There's now an "Attachments" link when you click your username in the navbar on top and also in "Your Account" section. This is pretty cool, it will show you your images in PM's as well
