Anyone can ask.Not the case. My girlfriend works at a gym. They can 100% ask for vaccination status.
If it did fall under HIPPA that would just prevent the gym employee from sharing that information with someone else.Your vaccination status is part of your own private medical record, ergo falling under the protection of HIPAA.
Anyone can *ask* virtually anything.
And the odds are against you with this.Nothing is guaranteed in life. You're playing the odds every day.
If it did fall under HIPPA that would just prevent the gym employee from sharing that information with someone else.
HIPPA is about controlling who shares information, not who requests it.
If your gym called your doctors office and asked for your VAX records, the doctors office would be in trouble for giving them out. The gym would not be in trouble for asking or receiving.
Clearly I disagreeAnd the odds are against you with this.
Right, it does not matter what form the information is in, it is the data itself that's protected. Not sure about that
The Privacy Rule applies to all forms of individuals' protected health information, whether electronic, written, or oral. ORAL! Thats right from the goverments website 2nd paragraph
""The Privacy Rule, a Federal law, gives you rights over your health information and sets rules and limits on who can look at and receive your health information. The Privacy Rule applies to all forms of individuals' protected health information, whether electronic, written, or oral. The Security Rule is a Federal law that requires security for health information in electronic form.""
Your Rights Under HIPAA | HHS.gov
Even still? Wow!Clearly I disagree
Funny this is the first I’m hearing of this. Not saying it’s not happening but I have followed this disaster very closely up until recently. You’d think the so-called experts would warn of this?“In fact, there's a phenomenon we've observed clinically where a person with COVID-19 can have very low oxygen levels but otherwise appear well, termed "happy hypoxia." It's concerning because these patients may be more significantly ill than they feel, certainly warranting closer attention in a medical setting”
.Can an Oximeter Help Detect COVID-19 at Home?
What an oximeter can and can't help with when it comes to COVID-19.www.houstonmethodist.org
“Asymptomatic patients who have been found to have COVID-19 may be unaware of the SpO2 depletion if they are able to breathe just fine. Moreover, some might experience confusion and even feel euphoric which cannot be directly linked to oxygen deprivation. This is being commonly dubbed as ‘Happy Hypoxia’. A gradual drop in oxygen saturation has been noticed in COVID positive patients. This has in turn brought forward the importance of a pulse oximeter”
The happy hypoxia is a symptom that is not common in normal flu but is in Covid.
So the public posted paper isn’t yours to hand out? Got it. We don’t care if she’s your friend or not. If it’s available why not post it?Let’s see who is shoveling what.
Does Covid behave differently with the “ happy hypoxia “ than normal flu?
Does Covid effect children the same way the regular flu does?
Therefore I am correct that it can symptomatically present differently than regular flu.
Someone says they don’t know anyone who died from it. I say I do and then proceed to attempt to tell me I’m wrong and how do I know. As if someone would ask that of Rooftop who lost his father.
I tell you I get information by a friend who is a doctor who published a paper on it. I tell you I have routine conversations with people in healthcare and in hospitals and that people are not dying from the vaccine even close to any number someone posted ( the same people who don’t trust official numbers). Okay. I said they couldn’t cover up that many deaths from the frontline healthcare workers and they would know. Someone then claims that they wouldn’t tell me if it was true as if they know the people involved and our relationship.
Then someone wants the study my friend wrote ( might as ask for her name- I point out that “ she” kind of narrows down the possibilities on which doctor it would be- then add ER doctor- match made). Her identity is not my right to give out.
As if I couldn’t just google other research papers and post it to support my position . You would never know right that it wasn’t my friend’s paper.
Some act as if I am personally attacking them if I disagree.
Im on an ignore list. Wow. As if I personally attacked that person. Try to present my position to the extremes as if I am advocating lockdowns because I don’t say “ it’s just the flu”.
As if our debates were to change that person’s mind rather than the others who read the thread.
Someone tell the ignore list guy- I wish him luck and I still hope his choice of the vaccine is the right one for him
Right, it does not matter what form the information is in, it is the data itself that's protected.
People who *have* the data cannot generally *share* it except in certain circumstances.
But, it says nothing about people who *don't* already have it from requesting it.
Basically nobody can violate HIPPA unless they *give* your information to someone else.
If the gym requires it, but they do not share it, then they are OK.
Because my friend being linked to me and my views might not be good for her. You might not care. 99% might not care. All it takes is one nut case. Not my place to do so.So the public posted paper isn’t yours to hand out? Got it. We don’t care if she’s your friend or not. If it’s available why not post it?
Don’t worry even if you posted it plenty wouldn’t believe it anyway.
Oh, I thought it was widely known. People were out buying pulse ox readers .Funny this is the first I’m hearing of this. Not saying it’s not happening but I have followed this disaster very closely up until recently. You’d think the so-called experts would warn of this?
Walked into a Home Cheapo in Clarence this week. No sign, no requirement. If only a cake baker could speak up about rights.
Was just Told today homedespot and wallyworld are mandating mask wearing for all customers.
Yipper.Am I seeing that the shots do relatively nothing in the fight against chicom?
From The Lancet, graph
Walked into a Home Cheapo in Clarence this week. No sign, no requirement.
I’m not sure that will happen. My wife’s job is mandating it even though she is remote as well and she’s getting it. I think she wanted it anyway but just never really wanted to say so to me. This is now her excuse. She believes it works. My job has mandated it or testing but they haven’t said a word about it. I work for the state so I only know this because of what Cuomo said. Nothing from HR or anything.A friend of mine works remotely for Vassar hospital. Employees received an email yesterday telling them they must get the jab or they will be fired. I can only hope a very large percentage of the 60% who were refusing it walk off. Let the bottom fall out of the hospital.
They have too many left in stock that they need to sell. I see it all over masks and hand sanitizer are discounted. The local wallyworld is already back to asking people if they want masks. Won't be too long before they are back to telling people they HAVE to wear masks.
I wonder if the places that mandate testing will actually follow up.I’m not sure that will happen. My wife’s job is mandating it even though she is remote as well and she’s getting it. I think she wanted it anyway but just never really wanted to say so to me. This is now her excuse. She believes it works. My job has mandated it or testing but they haven’t said a word about it. My work is saying we all must get vaccinated. Helllll naCuomo told us the pandemic was over..Big Fireworks display a month ago. Ha! Laughing my ass off. My work just stated vaxxers have to wear masks!
