You may be right but I’m not seeing it just yet. I have recently gotten a hep B booster since my last titer showed I needed it. I don’t want hep b and am exposed to it from time to time. I had covid and I can honestly say I’ve hade worse so I will pass on a vaccine. If the state mandated it well SC here I come.

How do you know other states won't also make it mandatory?
My sense is unless you are a first responder most of us, i.e. white males, will be the last to get the vaccine. The rollout will be based on identity politics, with those most "at risk" prioritized. Middle aged white guys are at the end of the line.

Two years ago, I was diagnosed with an autoimmuse disease. The vaccine has not been tested and proven safe in my population. It could kill me faster than COVID would.
Not once since my diagnosis have I invoked ADA. I would certainly do so if anybody made a vaccine mandatory.

My kids are 100% remote learning. Since they are not in physical contact with their peers, I see no reason to inoculate them with untested vaccines where the manufacturers have no liability in case of injury or death.
but, I expect you’re right. They’ll start with the school kids, then roll into first responders and essential workers next.

I already drew the line a few years ago, my employer requires all drivers to have a Haz-Mat cert. even though those loads only make up a couple percent of all company loads, also I do a dedicated run and NEVER pull anything else let alone H-M. I refused to pay the $$ for the H-M endorsement and we finally settled on a "don't ask, don't tell" policy.

The fact that the flu shot's effectiveness since 2009 has ranged anywhere from 19% - 60% shows you how all over the place it can be since they have to guess as to which strain will be around in the upcoming year. The average has been 43.8% over the last 10 years. 90% obviously is higher but it is based on the trials it has been run in, hardly a modest size to base anything on IMHO. Ultimately man isn't all that when it comes to outsmarting a pathogen and doesn't hold a candle to the G-d given innate ability of a properly functioning immune system. Personally, I'll take my chances with natural immunity and health over any man made concoction. YMMV.

Not a replacement for an immune system, but if it shows to be a reliable supplement that seems reasonably safe... why not? Only time will really tell, and I won't be the first person on line to get it, but if it shows to be safe that I'd probably get it long term.
