Marlin 1894 SBL availability

Ive been waiting for Marlin to start putting these out, and from what Im reading some are starting to hit some dealers. Im specifically looking for the 1894 SBL in 44 mag. Its got a 16" barrel,big loop, and laminate stock. If you come across one at any shops (local to down state) let me know.

I have been waiting for the same thing in 45-70, But i have been reading horror stories about quality control.

especially at $1100+ I can geta Henry Stainless steel all weather 45-70 for $800 on Gun Broker

Supposedly, they fixed all the machining problems from when remington first took over Marlin. As for the new line of rifles, a few guys on the marlinowners forum are reporting good function.
