Going to be posting my JM stamped Marlin 336 lever gun chambered in 35 Remington up on GunBroker but figured I'd give you fellas a heads up in case there is any interest. Manufactured and assembled in North Haven CT with Micro Groove barrel pre-Remington. Believe serial number puts manufacture year at 1981. Rifle is in excellent overall condition, smooth action, bore is bright and shiny, crown in excellent condition, bluing is in excellent condition with no apparent rust or pitting, walnut stock is in very good to excellent condition for age with no cracks or splitting but shows some very minor cosmetic blemishes which I believe is mainly from being in safe. All parts fit clean and tight. The plastic grip cap has some scratches probably from bench firing. Has original front hooded and rear windage sights. Receiver has been tapped and threaded for see-through mounts with a vintage Redfield low profile wide angle 1-3/4 x 5 scope in gloss black. Scope has clear glass but both scope and mounts have minor cosmetic blemishes which I believe also resulted from safe storage.
Listing for $875 on GB but am open to reasonable offers from NYGF members. Strongly prefer cash deal and would be willing to drive up to two hours from Orange/Rockland vacinity to meet at your FFL for transfer. Will also ship to your FFL at actual cost if necessary. Buyer to pay all transfer fees. Will throw in box of Federal 35 Rem (20 rounds) for FTF deal.
