The new law just increases the weight limit for a violation to under 2 ounces. No clue if there is an "intent to distribute" clause.

As far as intent to distribute, the criminal possession and criminal sale of marijuana are both misdemeanors in most cases.
Most criminal possession charges are because it was burning or in public view. Not the amount. You would need garbage bags full to get to misdemeanor levels based on weight.
