Non-resident carry licenses seem to be untouched, and they added three positives:
1) a non-resident with a license from their home state (for example a NY license, but no MA license) can 'car carry' similar to Illinois if driving through (locked glove box at rest areas),
2) carrying on an expired carry license creates a civil penalty only, and...
3) they seem to have added a grace period for expired licenses, but I think that's only for residents.
They did NOT add any oddball 'restricted/sensitive' areas for licensed carry, the only off limit areas are official buildings, schools, voting etc.

I hate to say "not my Pig, not my Farm" but this is their problem, outside the propensity of Libs from one State trying to one up the Representatives from another when it comes to Gun Control, NY already has enacted the start of a total ban, one that'll be mostly ignored by those who already have semi-auto's while they sit on their ass thinking those Association Dues are going to secure and return their Rights.

1) a non resident without a license from their home state can do that too, per federal law.
Would be interesting to see that tested with a firearm that is non-compliant in the facist state.
I.e. guy is driving through NY or MA and following all the rules of FOPA to the letter, but the gun he has locked in the trunk is a full featured AR with 30 round mags.

But get your semi auto rifle permission in NYS because I’ve heard so many say NYS won’t ban semi auto rifles. I’m refusing to get my semi auto endorsement because I don’t want them showing up at my house. Good luck and I hope they do it so things get real.
