I’m talking about what they are doing to kids. People don’t want it, studies show it, and everyone I talk to agrees even super liberal people. Many would also say Trump is or was the worst candidate in history. Many said he was the worst president in history.

I don't think anyone, even trans people, are for wantonly making kids alter their bodies permanently right off the bat.

I think most of the sentiment I've seen on this topic is around recognizing gender dysphoria early, not necessarily forcing treatment onto children early. They're two different things. Allowing a kid to present as the gender they'd like is different from lopping off body parts of injecting them with hormones during a time of uncertainty.

For me, that's where the line is. If the kid shows obvious signs of dysphoria, I don't see the harm in letting them present as the other gender or exploring what gender means to them.

The area that is iffy for me is when you start fucking around with hormones and surgeries. I'm not really sold on how safe that is. I also haven't read into long term studies on this topic, and if they exist in great detail -- so I'm pleading a little ignorance. But when in doubt, I default to cautious around something like that.

I agree with you on this. I think there’s a push for the kids to do this or that.
I don’t think the hormones or surgery are a good idea for anyone under a certain age. I guess it’s hard to say that age should be over 18 but I think it should be. It’s a really hard situation and to make generalizations on. I’ve seen people say 4 years olds are sure they are the wrong gender and parents pushing it at young ages and I don’t support this.
As for the hormones I don’t think there’s much research on it because it hasn’t been happening long term and I’m sure they don’t want this information out there. Europe has stopped doing this from what I understand because the outcomes were not what was desired meaning they didn’t improve the life or happiness of the individual. I haven’t researched this much either. I have heard many that have surgery regret it and there’s no going back but again how accurate is that?? I could see the hormones being rejected by the body, causing a lot of issues and increasing cancer rates. I’ve read many times women taking testosterone can have a really high increased sex drive that can be problematic for them and their lives.

Did you know at 12 kids in NYS can make certain health care decisions without parental concern or knowledge. I believe abortions, birth control, and gender treatment are on the list. I had to have a health care proxy for my son at 14-15 to go back and talk about his ear surgery with the doctor. That’s what people are sick of.

It is a mental illness in almost every case. Barring the outlier cases with chromosomal or physical developmental abnormalities, if you have a penis and think you are a woman, you are objectively incorrect.

I view it the same as I would schizophrenia. They are convinced "the voices" are real, but they aren't. I don't go around telling them that, "oh yeah, the voices are real, I hear them too"! I'd tell them they should get help, something is wrong. If you support beliefs that are provably incorrect, you aren't helping them, you're harming them by enabling.

A small but *extremely* vocal group is demanding society change to accommodate them.

*that* is why everyone cares.

And *that* is where their anger should be directed.

Nobody cared about this 10 years ago. But suddenly a bunch of virtue signaling assholes got involved and turned it into a big deal. So now it's a big deal.
