Yeah, none of it probably would effect New Yuckistan. I just wanted to put it out there so that others could share it with those who it WILL effect.

This will greatly impact ranges that rent out full auto or suppressed firearms. They will not be able to rent out any NFA item so certainly not that. What if you have a safe at your home and both family members have access to it. That’s likely not hard for the authorities to gather in a conversation with most people. I am the only one that has access to my safes at my house but only because one my wife can’t remember the code on and the other has my personal cash stash in it so I have never offered that combo to her.

ETA: The ranges may be affected if this becomes an actual thing. That's a BIG IF considering the ATF is in its death throes. As far as conversations with authorities. Why would you be talking to them? They are not your friends. I avoid "authorities" like the plague.

I don't envision anyone on the current SCOTUS leaving any time soon. Bout the only fear there is the Ds packing the court. Don't forget that Joe flat out refused to answer that direct question during a debate with Trump.
But with the Senate pretty much at a stalemate and that not likely to change anytime soon, id say even the court packing avenue is pretty slim.

While of course this doesn’t work with federal rule we’re all aware NYS’s rules far exceed federal rules in every way. First would be NFA doesn’t apply to use normal folks in NYS since that’s all illegal here for us.
I do get your point and it’s valid but moving to 45 other states in the USA gets you better gun laws than NYS, the other 5 are tied with how shitty we are and no those aren’t from numbers but a generalization that’s pretty close to accurate.

Don't bother trying to explain that to him or anyone that likes to use the ever present and constant push for gun control EVERYWHERE, as an excuse to mock people who realize what you are saying and choose to do something about it.
The idea that life as a gun owner (and in many other aspects as well) is so much better than it will ever be in NY. That there are state legislatures who actually support the 2A and actually pass PRO gun bills not just anti gun bills, is totally lost on him and others who are just so conditioned and just don't get it.
Even if federal laws are passed, you will still at least have a state government that isn't likely to make life worse for you by passing more gun control and at best would activily push back against federal overreach.
All he ever has to say on it is "JusT mOvE tO a fREe StATe" it's sad and annoying. On ignore he finally goes. gET fUcKeD!!!

“Today, I proudly signed Rep. Hinkle’s law prohibiting federal overreach into our Second Amendment-protected rights, including any federal ban on firearms,” Gianforte tweeted.

The bill says that local and state authorities cannot enforce federal bans on guns, ammunition and magazines.
It also prohibits state funding from being used to uphold any sort of gun ban that might come from the federal government.
