In the article I Noticed how the term "gun dealers" is used like drug dealers ... and it's "gun dealers" from outside Rochester that are problematic (since they closed up all "gun dealers" in the city of Rochester).

Not much "actionable" information in the report if this is all they have. From the looks of it, guns sold by NYS FFL's and used in Rah Cha Cha were probably purchased at a few stores based upon close location/proximity to the city as gun stores are few and far between (none in the city itself). Those purchased in NYS (43%) obviously had to go through background check, so is there straw purchasing going on or are we talking first time purchase by criminals not caught or in the system yet, would be criminals and would be gang bangers of age with no criminal record? As far as "crime guns" being used in multiple crimes ie: being used in multiple crimes by one criminal and or multiple criminals by getting passed around, they are a valuable commodity an either held on to and used multiple times by the same criminal and or sold on the black market for other criminals to use and that is no surprise. As for most guns being purchased out of state (57%), that is certainly no surprise as purchases are easier in some other states, but it is even more surprising that 43% come from in state when we have the most or close to the most draconian gun laws in the land.

The problem is the "undocumented" gun dealers. Just like the "undocumented" pharmacist and "undocumented immigrants".
Seems their reasoning is that it is having a gun that makes one a criminal

Yeah, nonpartisan.....
They fail at the lack of bias part of that definition. They are a lobbying group. They support any politician that supports their gun control agenda.
They want to make it sound like the gun shops are selling guns illegally, but they fail to mention how many of the guns they traced were reported stolen, while they lament the fact that they can only trace it to the last legal owner. If a NYS FFL is doing shady shit, I have no doubt in my mind the ATF, and State Police are going to be on them like fleas on a dog.

soooo, did the ATF raid these "dealers" and put them out off business? Has any LE agency pulled the dealers licence?
who are these "dealers" they speak of? names? places? why keep this information secrete, other than the info is complete bullshit

By logic then armed government employees are criminal.
In a society of the people, by the people, for the people, turned Plebeian without 2A equity, sure, sounds like a reasonable conclusion to me.
ETA: changed "adherence" to "equity" and kinda felt good doing, but also kinda felt dirty
