I was talking to a friend who works in a gun shop this morning. He was telling me that they got notice from ATF that the NICS check will be rejecting people with medical marijuana cards.

So very true. I know a friend of mine who has battled depression in the past, and he now refuses to go for treatment because he is worried he would be stripped of his rights and have to give up the hunting rifle his grandfather (long deceased) gave him.

I knew this already. It’s on the 4473 form. They will absolutely deny you for medical weed and if your state legalized recreational use you will be denied too. I agree it’s another way to make millennials choose between guns and weed.

From what I've been told, medical marijuana card holders are being reported to NICS, triggering a denial regardless of the answers on the 4473.

An answer of "yes" on that box triggers a denial before they even make the call.
