Interested in learning about HAM (aka amateur) radio? Well, since September is Preparedness Month... the MRC (Medical Reserve Corps) of Dutchess County is hosting a free Amateur Radio Fun Night on Thursday September 12th at 6pm at the Department of Emergency Response located at 392 Creek Road in Poughkeepsie.
Attendees will get to experiment with and learn about a variety of radio set ups, and learn what HAM radio operators do to assist in emergencies.
