Micro T-1 Base Stuck

I have a Micro T-1 that I am trying to remove the mounting base from so I can put a riser in. I took the 4 screws out of the bottom of the sight but I can't get the base to let go. I am missing something but I don't know what. The manual was useless.

They can be on there pretty tight, especially if they got sloppy with the thread locker. Hold the sight firm wrapped in a rag and give the base a good whack with a nylon hammer or screw driver handle.

bunch of marks on my screwdriver but the damn thing still won't let go.

If it is glued/thread locked in, a little heat from a small propane torch, lighter, candle or even hair drier might help loosen it.

Sure did, used a hair dryer. It was Loctite causing the problem.
