S-4116, Requires semiautomatic pistols manufactured or delivered to any licensed dealer in this state to be capable of microstamping ammunition.

S-5026, Requires police officers to take temporary custody of firearms when responding to reports of family violence.

In my area they already do 5026 for any domestic related call. No crime committed nothing this already occurs.

I think it's important to note that it was so worthless that our current leader shut down the program.

COBIS was a colossal failure. Tens of millions were spent over a decade or so and not 1 single crime was ever solved with it.

They didnt learn with COBUS now every manufacter if they want to continue to sell to NY ( and CAL0 with this 10 round mags vs STANDARD capacity mags...now this?! PLus I thought the last study determined that the manufacturing capabilities just arent there yet to do this on such a large scale on a very limited surface area of a firing pin!!!

This will be fun to watch..I think the last time they tried to get it through with same results for the ammo checks...once they have a means to do it or can it will have to start being done...so lets much up laws for when something becomes possible.....This is a cluster!!!!

I hope they strike it down...time to fire up another letter/email to my great representatives in the Senate and all that...write em and tell em its crap!!!

Mine is already microstamped..it leave a little DOT where the firing pin struck the primer!! you all have it... DONE...now lets take our ball and go home!!!!!

There’s a difference between the ammo check and microstamping. The ammo check was government failure and the microstamping is a manufacturing failure. The government also likely doesn’t care if we can’t buy any guns.

You could take your 357 magnum ( or whatever caliber you have ) and insert a hardened inner barrel sleeve for 9 mm ( or smaller than original caliber).
