Now. Today.Well sounds like that’s that. I wonder when the run on handguns starts?
Well... I wonder how they'll implement this required technology into these...

And oh, BTW...
Fuck NY!!!
Counting the days... Counting the days...
You can but it gets messy. You can't fix stupid and evil combined. Stalwart combination in this state.
It'll happen right after the ammo background check database is up.Honestly I bet it won't be for years.. but we got fear mongers like this new dude acting like all handguns are getting pulled off the shelf this weekend
Hence why gun laws are useless. We should all carry a small amount of cocaine for a plea deal. What's the goal if not a political one? I know many ADA's in the city and the first charge removed for a repeat offender is any use of a firearm in the commission of the crime. As long as the victim didn't die. A gun charge carriers a mandatory sentence. Mandatory. That is why in plea bargaining, it the first charge to go.
. Its microstamping law covers all newly manufactured handguns, not just new models, meaning gunmakers would only be able to bypass the rule until they depleted existing stock.
The technology does not exist .... This means we could see no new auto loaders sell in NY State in what perhaps 6 months to a year. Hell go to buds Guns and see all the guns that they have with no inventory Could mean there will be many handgun models if not most will not be sold anymore in this state.... and soon
Am I wrong ?
"We never saw it being viable, so we aborted it."It doesn't go into effect until the technology is deemed viable. So never
It only applies to guns manufactured after it goes into effect. Worse case, we will be like CA and can’t get any new guns. The manufacturers may not stop selling here, but if nys says it’s illegal to sell or buy a gun without microstamping capabilities then you won’t be able to get what you want or any pistol for that matter.

Not likely to be on roster due to micro stamping requirements. There's a bigger thread in California Handguns forum too
It seems that this micro stamping law in California has suppressed the sale of certain models . .. Just trying to wrap my head around this folks... From what I posted above all autoloading handguns will need to have the micro stamping tech after current inventories run out.
How is it not similar?. The mircostamping law was put into effect by Harris.California's law is completely different. Try again
Didn't realize VPOTUS was new york state

I did. It’s similar as how they go into effect. The difference is CA law applied to new models vehicle NY applies to newly manufactured.Read the laws and then maybe you can answer that very simple question yourself “¯\_(ツ)_/¯“

That’s how California wrote their law too. Then a few years later, Harris , the AG of CA then, certified it despite it not existing and the law went into effect.1) NY specified once it was deemed a viable technology.. technology that doesn't exist and no one is working on =/=
So try again
2) going to just pretend you didn't say some dumb shit about Harris ???? Or what??

It’s similarity to the CA law and the New York law is that it gives the power to certify the tech to a government official. Once the person “ certified “ the tech— even if they lie about it like Harris did— the law automatically goes into effect. Whomever this law gives the power to certify it, can do the same thing. So Harris is going to just come to NY and "certify it"
Oh wait she isnt in charge of that

Cleaning yes, also when going to the range or shooting make sure you get all your brass or you could be on the hook for a crime.I don't want my brass casings damaged any more than they already are when they get shot. I want my brass with no stampings from the breach face....
I deem this as a potential safety hazard for reloaders like myself and many others.
The firing pin will be OK, because after several thousand rounds and some cleanings, there will be no more left of the stamp. lol
They will be against abortion at that point."We never saw it being viable, so we aborted it."
How many cases have been resolved through microstamping ?
