Luckily I'm grandfathered in because I got mine in 2004. Any other lifetime permits after that or around that year got revoked and people need to buy yearly now and there is still lifetime options. It's much more than it was. Now you can even incorporate everything in one on your DMV issued diving license , a little icon in the corner for whatever sport licenses you own.

biggest fish I ever caught on rod/reel was Salmon about 20+ lbs, and Carp 30lbs on hunting Bow line.
Spring time in western long island sound is prime time for cow stripers. My largest has been 38 lbs but almost every year someone hooks into a 50 pounder.
