Milennium G2 - Legal?

Does anyone know if this is a legal pistol in NY? It is normally sold with 12rd mag and has threaded barrel. If purchased (somehow) with a 10round, would that work?

Could an FFL remove the 12s and give me 10s?

The threaded barrel is a no-go AFAIK. The NY Safe Act is a "One Feature Test" for an assault weapon. A threaded barrel is a feature. Also, there are 10 round mags for that pistol. It just might be tough finding a vendor that sells them with the firearm.

So the challenge of obtaining this pistol is the magazines it ships with, correct?

Anyway, the truth is that it's probably more trouble than it's worth for a Taurus anyway. It looks like it's very difficult to get factory 10 round mags for that gun from everything I've been reading.
No online retailers seem to offer a 10 round version, which is a little bit weird because the Taurus site does seem to imply 10 rounders are factory produced.. but then they aren't for sale anywhere even individually. I found one ONE for sale on ebay, and it was $50.
There are aftermarkets though , which don't seem like a great option in this case (see video below)
Theres does not appear to be any companies which make a mag limiter for those mags ( I.E. Magblock LLC / magazineblocks.com )
If you bought one and had the FFL transfer it to you with no mags , you'd just be throwing away $70 worth of original mags then paying again the same amount to get aftermarkets that you may have to modify to even get them standard fitting

Take a look at this video here. He's taking aftermarket mec-gar mags and modifying them so they become flush fit. You'd have to have your FFL give you no mags and then acquire those and do it yourself.

After all that you may as well have just bought a $400+ pistol , and not a crappy Taurus.

The only way to do this reasonably at all is to buy one from a local place IF they even carry them (since the 10 round factory mags seem to only barely exist in reality)

I'd just choose something else were I you.
