Half agree. It's not that I'm not a fan of the thread, but I agree that I would not want to be pre-judged based on my age, unless it seemed that it was out of my realm, but I'm not gonna let it twist me up. Judge me, I don't care.
Technically, according to a new study I heard, I should have more money in my savings than my parents, because I'm a millennial and I haven't committed to anything, I don't own a home, etc. Since I'm on the ass end of things, it's the opposite. I'm 34, have been out of the house since 19 or 20, have been with my wife w/ kids since I was 22, and haven't had the same job for 30 years like my dad has. Most kids at 22 are still wiping their mother's milk off their lips. These kids are still living at home, still on their parent's health and car insurance. I'm not surprised they can't start a fire.

There may be "some" people in that situation, but the question you have to ask is "why." If it's because they're some hipster art student who thinks all jobs are too beneath them, then yes, I'm in agreement with you; they can't just stay at home and be useless to society.
However, if it's someone who is down on their luck, due to the economy tanking or their profession from college drying up in availability, then it's a different story. If someone is going out there, working multiple jobs, doing whatever it takes, and they're still at home, then I don't care what they're doing to get by.
You judge a person by how hard they try, and what steps they take trying to move forward in life. You judge them by their decisions. So we should stop judging anyone by anything but their character.

It depends on your upbringing .. I know many farm kids that would survive just fine .My sister had a youth group (church ) She had 14 and 15 year old kids tearing off roofs and re shingling homes for the poor .
I think the definition of millennial is broad as potentially misleading. Anytiime you paint a large group of people with a broad brush you run the risk of stereotyping and being inaccurate.
I think the stereotypical Starbucks lover drinking some drink I can't pronounce, wearing a man bun and talking about social justice and safe spaces has nothing to do with a regular 18-30 yr old (like many here on this forum).

This is all about generalities. We in the US live by them. Take the term "Greatest Generation" that term was given to those of the WW2 time period. I can promise you, not all were great.

I'm not saying the generality isn't true. Generalities should always come with a disclaimer. Such as "most" or "a lot of" or "the majority of." The moment you start saying "all" or stop using any qualifiers at all, you make blanket statements that apply to the whole group.
I think the most popularized version of millennials is the lazy, staying at home and not trying, art major type. That's some of them; maybe it's even a disproportionate number of millennials compared to other groups. It's not all of them, though. There are a lot of hard working people out there.
Unless there is something constructive coming out of it, let's take a step back with generalities and not over use them. It's generalities that give us hate groups like Black Lives Matter.

As for the "Triggers", I love them. I use as many as I can, especially in public when I know someone will get a rise. There are times I go to different stores just to get a rise out of people.
I went to an Auto parts store yesterday to pick up some replacement bulbs for my Jeep, I was taking to the guy behind the counter about this and that; I swear, ALOT! There was a woman/girl behind me, maybe around 25 who took some serious offense to the words I was using. I used even more. On the way out, I told her to have a nice F'en day!

Hahaha, I love when people get butthurt by swear words. I use them like toilet paper - as much as needed. One time, my step brother and I were on our way down to visit our brother in VA Beach, where he was stationed w/ the Navy. We're flying down together, and my step brother has a pretty LOUD voice. You can always hear him, no matter what. He does everything loud too. When we were waiting in Charlotte for our plane to take off, this lady turned around and said to him, "Could you please not swear?" Oh, it was hilarious. People usually ignore me or him if we're swearing, I've never had someone get offended that I or anyone I'm talking to said fuck.
