Mini dehumidifiers for gun safes or cabinets..

Looking for recommendations. My apartment seems to be damp and hard to climate control. I'm looking to get a local dehumidifying solution for my safe as part of my rust prevention regime. I'm currently giving Eezox clp a try also. Any suggestions for this sort of thing?

If you have wood stocks then much below 50% humidity is detrimental.

The bulb will work better and you don't need to seal up the safe.

Why not? The light bulb is the best and easiest option.

No reachable outlet to power it, the safe is small so I'd be concerned about heat/fire hazard. Plus everything in my place is electric so I don't want to increase my bill.

Just get some desiccant packs on Amazon, or DampRid at Home Depot. I put a pack in my ammo boxes, range bags, workout bags, etc. Keeps humidity under control. Take packs out, dry em in oven and start over, lol. Get a humidity-thermometer to check levels, they're cheap.

Works in a pinch, but is disposable and not reusable like the desiccant packs, correct? I like the packs for some reason, but remember, don't eat them

I have two of the 500 model. Never knew they could cover so many square feet. These work just fine.

I have one of these, different brand, and it works great. Just needs a recharge once in a while depending on your conditions. Take it out, plug it in and it dries out again. Replace in safe.

I also picked up an inexpensive remote humidity and temperature monitor on Amazon that works pretty well. Can read the conditions inside safe without having to open it all the time.

What I did was just put drierite on the floor of my cabinet, any desiccant will work at absorbing the water in the air. Drierite turns pink when it's saturated

I also have a goldenrod which keeps the humidity under control, around 40-50% average.

I plug them in once a month for a day.
The granules do change color so I'm assuming that they work.
