I expect if they were unarmed they would be tackled though, or maybe they would send some K9's after them.
But if they were armed, or somehow made it past the agents sent to stop them, yes, they would be shot, and the bullets wouldn't be rubber but they would be numerous.

There are unconfirmed reports of the 88th precinct in Brooklyn being over run by a CNN reporter James A. Gagliano.
Looks like its CNN fake news , as people are reporting that it didn't happen . No confirmation, No pics either way.

FYI everything about the 88th precinct building getting “overrun” is absolute bullshit. I cam see the precinct from my window. The doors and windows were vandalized, and protesters were only there for max 20 minutes before they were dispersed

Things arent always as they seem.
If they made arrests using just video evidence, there would be alot of innocent people in prison.
None of what I am going to say are facts in this case, im just spitballing.
Does anyone remember they guy who died while being arrested for selling illegal cigarettes or something?
The incredibly obese guy where it was found that his heart gave out from the stress of being arrested?
The cop who choked him still had fault, but maybe not murder.
George Floyd died from the cop holding him down with his knee. Did George have a heart condition? Was George high on a drug that stressed his heart?
These are things investigators need to figure out before they know what exactly to charge them with.
If they charge him with murder, an autopsy may show that George was already on the brink of death and the cop just quickened his end......that may be manslaughter....or less.
There are hundreds upon hundreds of videos online which show cops using this same knee on the neck technique with absolutely no injuries whatsoever.
What made this one deadly?
These things all need to be investigated before an arrest in such a high profile incident.
One tiny mistake could let this cop walk. Gotta get it right the first time.

No. If theres probable cause to arrest , you arrest. Just like it is on the street. Cops are not expected to be perfect. They don't require airtight proof to make an arrest. If you have PC, you make the arrest. let the courts sort it out. If its found that there's not enough evidence , then you let them go . just like anybody else. You don't have a trial to determine if a arrest is warranted. The courts decide guilt or innocence , not an internal review board.

It changes little. If somebody dies while your committing an illeagal act, You can be charged with their death. If you pull a gun on someone and they die of a heartattack, You could be charged with their death.

Before this gets out of control im firmly in the "arrest him now" camp but we dont live in a perfect world and many cops and procecutors make decicions based on what they believe the optics will look like and what the masses will do if they make the wrong choice.

99% of the time, I side with the police. Mostly because of the law. Most people are not aware of the nuances of the law and misinterpret situations .
In this case . The officer acted with complete indifference causing , or contributing to the death of the man .He disgraced his dept and his fellow officers, Even the police are not coming out in his defense. He gave everybody with a uniform a black eye, and probably put targets on their back.
He needs to be cast out, not protected.

At the end of the day, the guy needlessly had a knee on his neck for a long time. He begged for him to take it off. He begged for water. He complained about how he was feeling. It doesn’t matter that he had an underlying medical condition as the coroner states. He was no longer resisting yet the knee still remained on his neck He was already restrained. He could not get away. It was totally unnecessary.
