Regardless of issues regarding government executions, this is an interesting, and practical, approach to a state's being deprived of their method of capital punishment.

JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - Mississippi lawmakers are advancing a proposal to add firing squad, electrocution and gas chamber as execution methods in case a court blocks the use of lethal injection drugs.

I would add public hanging and guillotine for good measure.

Perhaps Mississippi could combine their capital punishment program with NRA live fire instruction? That way, new shooters could get practice as the hardened violent criminals are removed from our society.

If I ever had to be executed I'd pick firing squad for sure.
