My 700s are pretty much run dry. I see no sense in lubricaeing them the only time they get oiled is when they go in the safe and they won't be used for a while.What about your Remington's?

Did his gun and pocket knife have rusty fingerprints on them? Sweat and body oils are salty and acidic.True. When I take my 700 out to go hunting, I just hand rub the bolt. An old timer told me that there is enough oil in the palms of your hand to coat the bolt. He also said to do the same with the old non SS pocket knife blades.

I use Mobil One the same as CLP. I clean and lubricate with it.you guys use Mobile 1 for Lube, what do you all use to clean with?
right now i just use CLP, because it Cleans, Lubes and Protects! : )

130ACan you say what spec lubriplate is "peanut butter"? They have a ton of different specs on their website. Just wondering if the same stuff is available at your local automotive store.
Ive been using 5w30 because......it was on sale for $1.99 at Kmart.hey what Viscosity do you guys use with the Mobil One?
