Moon clips fairly cheap and act as speed loaders.

Yes but you need to be careful what moonclips you use with 357 the groove where the moon clips snap on are not all the same dimension so decide what ammo you will use and buy clips that work well with that ammo

I was thinking along the lines, worst case, no moon clips. One hell of a snake gun.

In this instance the cylinder is actually cut to except the moon clip. They wouldn’t work on an uncut cylinder without binding, if you could even get it to close.
