Went to Cabela's on the way home from Canada yesterday with my little guy to look and see if they had anymore .223 boxes on sale for $5.99 and my little guy behind me says "Daddy you need this". Amongst the dozens of different 22lr ammo on the shelf, he no shit picked up a 50 Rd box of CCI varmint Stingers. I likely would've completely forgotten. Thanks to both of you for the recommendation. I had no idea those existed. 1600 fps. Should do the trick provided I do my part.
Accuracy my suffer for longer range shots depending on rate of barrel rifling, but they do wack a lot harder on impact !
I'm sure. I shot another one the other day with a mini mag with my Marlin 60 at literally 10 feet right in the head and it still crawled away. No idea where it went. If the AR wasn't so friggin loud I'd use that.
