I saw this posted somewhere else yesterday. Like someone had mentioned elsewhere, I think the language was intended to mean that she believes body armor is not protected by the second amendment. Body armor as we already know is legal to own/possess in Monroe county.

This is also coming from the same person in power that also believes she doesn't need to pull over for the police and she can legally evade them instead because she is a DA. She's not the brightest bulb, just a very corrupt DA.

Not to give her a pass, but maybe some small benefit of the doubt, the point she chose to argue is about as specious as it gets. Easily and utterly refuted by Heller.

If her recent public antics are any clue, she is a person who tends to try to have it both ways....typical politician. Having been named as a defendant in the case, she is bound to offer up a defense and is likely under pressure to toe the political line and may be doing so with a very weak argument. That is the very definition of specious - having the ring of truth or plausibility but actually fallacious.

If that's the case, I'd have preferred showing integrity and standing by her convictions rather than weasel her way around it, but weaseling her way out seems to be her go to response.

The Body Armor argument can fall into several other categories that violate a U.S citizens right to take independent measures of safety, health and well being onto themselves, which is embodied in the founding, the Constitution and outlined in the Bill of Rights. Doesn't need to be a strict 2A issue and I would attack it that way. Their bias and true motives will be exposed in that mean of addressing the issue.

Teddy Roosevelt's rough riders, scared the shit out of the progressives of the day about how ez it was to raise an army....1903 the DICK ACT tried out wipe out Militias in favor of State Militias controlled by Despots like Hochuls of the day.

The 1988 Militia Trial of the top leaders in US Militias were found not guilty of seditious conspiracy and that Militias are just social clubs.......

Despite this the animals have tried to pass anti militia legislation anyway.

Currently a Texas Fed case, is in the courts challenging anti militia laws.
