There is the rebound effect like it happened after any major war. It does not happen immediately but in 2 -3 years as generational demand raises. One thing is clear, our 'liberals" policies do not help the SMB that are the main driving force in those rebounds.

Somehow someway "we" are going to end up paying for these slackers. Yes, I said slackers. I am sure there are a few people that may have been affected by the shutdown and could not pay the rent. I bet there are many more that took the rent money and bought things like a new big screen, Nikes, got some new Tats and partied like its 1999. I bet there are also very many that continued to pay their rent from day one of the shutdown. It is kind of like student loans, You took the loan, You overpaid for books, and may have used the funds for some worthless ass degree while partying your asses off. So why do I have to pay for your poor decisions?

My mother and father just told me last night that my uncles two young boys received $18,000 in unemployment last/this year because of the unemployment thing. They are young 21ish, healthy, and vaccinated. They worked at Tim hortons and did an internship. Just go back to Tim hortons. Although part of me doesn’t blame them because if you could make more money staying at home why not? Tough spot to be in honestly.

I couldn't agree more. I have never been able to grasp an understanding of the handout system. One glaring example of the money giveaway, Why in the world would anyone who is retired get one cent of money. I am retired, I know my monthly income and that monthly income was not influenced by the China virus. Nothing has changed in a retired persons income. They know what they have been getting and they know it will continue. The money flow into their life will not change one bit. They have learned how to live within the means of their retirement income and can continue to do so. I use that as only one example. All the slugs collecting unemployment ( you know who you are ) while work opportunities exist are another aspect of the debacle. The entire free fare system went off the rails decades ago.

I simply use the retirement example to illustrate that a retired persons income is fixed regardless of a pandemic. IMO the stimulus or bail out schemes are asinine regardless of who gets the money. Through inflation we all wind up paying in the end. I was speaking with someone the other day who commented on how well their retirement account was doing. They just could not understand that though the dollars were there on paper that the purchasing power of that same dollar was greatly diminished through inflation.

There are 2 ways to become mega rich.
The new way is by prosperity. Those would be the Gateses and Bezos, Musks and Zuckerbergs of the world.
They produce something that people want and provide it for a profit. They are demonized for this.
The otherway, the "old money" way is to grab everything you can when things get bad, and other people are getting screwed.
All the "old money" was gained this way. Sure, their seed money may have come the "new money" way, but their fortune was gained on the backs of others.
They don't make their money when the stock market goes up, they make it when it goes down and they purchase everything at a discount when others are forced to sell.
Do you think the people who's fortune is built on others misfortune are worried about this economic collapse ? Hell, they're counting on it, maybe even engineering it.
