More red dot on handguns love.

So it's no secret that I love red dots on handguns, especially dury and carry guns. They are the next evolution of defensive handguns.

Other than cost, which is consistently going down, the one biggest factor in people not liking dots on handguns is the learning curve.

I'm itching to switch to a dot, and this would be the one. I have a holosun circle dot on my ar and love it.

I'm a big fan of red dots on rifles. Big fan. Especially if I'm only shooting at 200 yards or less. It's much quicker then iron sights or a 3x9 scope and usually more accurate when speed is involved. I can find the dot easily once shouldered. I can never lose it.

On a pistol however that isn't the case for me since it isn't stabilized in my shoulder, I find myself moving the gun around looking for the red dot. I have to present the gun a certain way for me to find it. It just doesn't work for me.

Not that I'm against development but I can pick up my antiquated front fixed sight which happens to be red dot easily. The rear sight is blacked out and I never lose it. My body automatically lines it up without me knowing.

Maybe it's a training issue. I don't know. I think I can do better with a red front sight that I don't have to look for. It also makes my carry gun smaller and more concealable without it.

No that all makes sense, think of how many hours and rounds fired you have with irons vs a red dot.

One of the first red dot videos on the sage dynamics YouTube pretty much is him saying dots are cool and all but he is better with irons, now years later he Is pushing red dots

I’ve gotta admit I’ve been really interested in a red dot on a handgun and seems like the perfect excuse for a G19 MOS.

The past few years I have been buying more guns and procastrating buying scopes, extra mags and other accessories for the guns. One of these years I need to focus on accessories.

I'd like to try a red dot sometime before I buy one.
