Both are plentiful online and in LGS. IMO both are great rifles to learn about cleaning, maintenance and operation as they are inexpensive (relatively) and easy to tear down. Lots of videos online from degreasing to upgrading. Just know that you are buying military surplus firearms and the won’t be perfect or SubMOA shooters. Plus they’re a blast to take to range.

I've loved the mosin forever I used to see them everywhere probably about 4 years ago for 200 dollars now I'm seeing very few for 500 dollars and now I wish I picked one up
Why not? I have a few and I am thinking about selling some or all. Not sure if it would be a mistake.

for one i got a 12 pt buck with it the first season we were allowed rifle in this county ..
2nd i just love shooting the dang thing ..
if i had multiples i might sell them all depends, but only have this one for now ..
I almost never shoot mine any more. Shit tons of ammo, just never shoot them. I am having an argument with my self in regards to selling them. Just thinking about a serious safe clean out.

Who would have thought a Mosin Nagant would be selling upwards of $400. I was in Collector in Hopewell yesterday and they were selling for $399. If it’s in good shape $325 sounds ok.

i got mine for a buck fiddy with some free ammo too .. at the time 300 were either hex or sniper versions i got mine in 2014 .. was 179 at the LGS .. no tool kit and sling stuff just the rifle
150 and toss in some ammo .. yep .. sold
i want the short Mosin now i think it's the 44 .. but not paying the high price for the thousands
that were made ..
i think it was the obummer import ban that made the prices go way the FK up ..
