Mossberg 152 NY Legal?

Its a semi auto 22lr made late 40s to mid 50s; it has a fold down part built into the forearm of the stock that becomes a foward grip. Not sure if it goes into that c & r category or what?

AW in NY. I believe it could be registered as a C&R, but why would you? The forward grip comes off easily enough and would not affect operation.

It could be argued that it's a prohibited rifle, but it doesn't make my give-a-fuck meter flinch, and wouldn't get too excited or worried about it.
One thing about those older .22 semi-auto's is to not use anything other than "Standard Velocity" ammunition, oh and you can't buy it in NY unless you've got the special Pistol Permit Club endorsement for semiautomatic rifles.
