Mossberg 500 forend.

Evening! I am replacing the crappy ATI synthetic stock set on my 500 20 gauge with a nice wood set I found online. The butt stock went on no problem. The fore end fits around the tube good. However if I slide the tube down to the extension arm, there is about an inch of reveal left on the tube to where the spanner nut won’t reach the wood forend. If I slide the forend to meet the spanner nut, I have a gap between the wood and the extension arm at the rear of the forend. So my question is, is there a spacer that I might be missing or a taller spanner nut? I suppose I could make a spacer with the 3D printer. But if an actual Mossberg part is available, then I’d rather use that.

Mossberg has a short and long slide or action tube or whatever they call it, at least they do for the 12 gauge.

Yup, the 12s certainly do. Google can tell you how to measure. Boyd's website for example.
