Mossberg 5200 question

i have a Mossberg 5200 semi auto that’s acting funny. It fires fine but the next shell misfeeds. I read somewhere that there is supposed to be a o ring in the front of the mag tube. When I took mine apart I don’t see one

Can someone confirm that the o ring is supposed to be there? I can’t find any manuals or schematics on it

could be. could be too tight now and the change is causing either the gas or mag tube to go wonky.
