Funny papers aren't ATF law fortunately. It's no different than putting a brace on a pistol. The classification doesn't change.

Manufacturers do that all the time just to cover themselves.

No, the operative word is "arrested". If you are foolish enough to think you will win a debate with Cuomo's storm troopers (NYSP) or the ATF you best prepare yourself to be wearing stripes.

The Mossberg and TAC 14 are fine as is. For their intended use, you don't need an arm brace. Just buy a bunch of the short shells and practice. I have a laser and light on my Tac 14 and have no problem scoring #4 buck shot hits at 20 yards.

If that's not good enough, buy an 18" riot gun.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives has issued several letters regarding the legality of SB Tactical Stabilizing Braces, including this letter from 2014 issued to Black Aces Tactical that approves the use of SB Tactical Stabilizing Braces on 12 gauge firearms.

The bottom line: The ATF has consistently stated that the SB Tactical Stabilizing Brace is legal to own, legal to purchase and legal to install. The addition of a Stabilizing Brace does not change the classification of the host firearm under the Gun Control Act.​

By the time you deploy your silly arm brace the guy with the regular riot gun will have X ringed you several times.

While you are a great joiner, have you ever fired a shot in anger ? Had you, you wouldn't obsess on silly things like arm braces.

"Don't bring an arm brace to a gun fight where the other guy has a M97 Winchester trench sweeper."

Here is mine. I changed the follower and added a few things to it. I also have an opsol mini shell adapter for it. Still need a mag extension though. 20180607_193053.jpg

Nice, but I would definitely rather have one of the SB braces on it. The sba3, sb15, and sbm4 are all made of rubber, while that kak blade is thin hard plastic. My shoulder would definitely be aching after firing that I believe.

I looked into the braces you mentioned but they just slide on the tube and can shift where as I can set the kak tube with a screw.
It's not bad even with 3in slugs....not saying I wanna do this all day...lol! For range fun I drop in the opsol adapter and go nuts with the mini shells which have 0 kick.
On my shockwave I added.
Kak brace and brace tube they sell along with a kak follower.
Gg&g rail.
Bushnell optic which to my surprise has been great!
I modified the magpul forend to fit on the shockwave.
Mesa tactical adapter for the brace and pistol grip.
If NY was cool I would just do the NFA paperwork and add a stock,but no more NFA toys since NY isn't cool!
Not cool NY....Not cool at all!
