Spent 31 years in upstate NY, outside Schenectady. Moved to the Lynchburg VA area 2 years ago. As you've all seen in the news, they tried to ram down our throats in a few months what they've done in NY over the past 2 decades, and more. They screwed up.
Locals are more involved and more passionate than they've ever been. Grassroots movements have brought people together, and large numbers have demanded moral actions from unwilling local and state politicians. It's been great to see. It was great to be a part of the big rally in richmond, part of 2a county meetings, and now part of county musters. And you guys can have it too.
We've mustered our "unorganized militia" (as defined by the state constitution) in multiple counties, giving a back bone and teeth to the 2nd amendment sanctuary resolutions.
Politicians are taking notice of the militia musters and accepting the patriots as an important and powerful political force.
Most importantly, the people I've met down here are not different from those I know and love in NY. Moral, patriotic, and rational people. The only difference is how quickly their government tried to impose its will upon them.
You have an opportunity to get involved and make a change in NY. Most importantly with your local town and county government. Use Facebook to get in touch with those in your area, make a group and start getting together. When there are enough of you, demand your rights protected. Getting a couple hundred passionate and organized Patriots together is something local government is not used to.
Things won't get better through inaction. Shake things up and get on the offensive.
