I have a plastic "gun card". My permit had too much pen on it. No room left for guns. So they gave me a plastic card listing my evilness.

Paper permit with my picture stapled to it.

What i want to know is can i keep my paper license in recert?

Probably not is the short answer but you know, since every frigging county has it's own set of rules, who the hell knows. When I finally decided to have all of my evilness transferred to the plastic card I asked if I could also keep the permit. I was given a resounding No.
I only switched because some of the older info. Was becoming hard to read. I did ask if I could compare the two side by side befor I surrendered the paper permit to make sure all was correct. I'm glad that I did too. I found two serial number mistakes that I made them immediately fix. I would highly recommend that anyone switching over do the same.

has anyone managed to move counties and get restrictions removed? is so call the moving company for me!

When I transferred my 1996 Putnam paper permit to finally a plastic one in the late 2000s, I kept my paper one with my picture stapled to it and frayed edges..still have it today. I hated the paper and thought it was stupid to have something that disintegrates in your pocket so I'm glad with plastic. All I did was tell them I couldn't find it at the moment. Same thing I do when I pay the five dollars and get an additional replacement license, I claim I lost it so I can have one in my wallet and one in my car, I've done that for every county I've lived. F them. In fact I think I'll go get a third one for my tackle box..shhhh..Got to play to game if you want to play to game. Oooh that's illegal oohh waahaa haaa some of you will cry, and I don't give a hoot. But the way I see it I'm just trying to be a better citizen by making sure I have my permit with me at all times everywhere I go . :rock:
