Moving from NY to NJ

I know, I know...Out of the frying pan and into the fire I guess. The reality is that I took advantage of the crazy market and sold for a profit.
Anyway, does anyone know what is involved in obtaining a NJ firearms permit when moving from NY (Or any other State)?
I appreciate any help.

from what I have been told, its like trying to get a CCW permit for NYC. LOL, you can't. Its virtually impossible to get a CCW permit in Nazi Jersey. But who knows, maybe you'll get lucky

I have a few NJ resident friends that have pistols, but not CCW permits, which are rarer than snow in hell.
They say that getting a ticket to allow pistol and ammo purchase is relatively easy.

Condolences. For three years in a row, the United Van Lines migration survey had New Jersey the #1 outbound state with New York being the #2 Outbound State. An interesting note in the United Van Line migration study was that New York was the leading destination for those fleeing New Jersey.

Got my permit from the Perryville SP in Hunterdon County, filled out an application and received it a few weeks later......Now I'm in Pa. and have my CC.....

My son moved to NJ a short time ago.No CCW in Jersey.He got whatever they issue pretty quick, I gave him a couple pistols when he did.Can keep it in the house or take it to a range in a locked box .
