This movie has aged shockingly well and it's actually probably far more realistic than it was intended to be. It really has become more satisfying with time.

That's been my belief for years. They're all, reps on both sides, "dirty" and their 'friends' and Fed LE say nothing, then threaten to use it against them as the need arises. And that's why I've mentioned in past/other threads that whether re-elected on not, Trump should write a book exposing all of them.

I'm not sure its a blackmail kind of thing. Its more of a CIA threatening to make you or family get disappeared. If the CIA wants a person dead, they end up dead. That brings me to wonder if Trump isnt just a player in the theatrics of Washington himself. He seems to defy everything. They are expending a lot of energy to undo him via bogus court cases, accusations etc. why havent they just offed him already? To be clear, this isnt a strong belief I have, just wondering.

For me, I think about all we can do is wonder. I agree the CIA can make people disappear and likely have. I don't know if Trump is really a player in all of it, I'd like to think otherwise but who knows. Regardless, I'd bet he knows plenty of 'things' the CIA and DC politicians wish he didn't know. If Trump was to mysteriously disappear or was suddenly found dead, "natural causes", accident, or not, there would be little doubt who the likely culprit or culprits would be. And if the CIA, other 3 letter agencies, or the far left really wanted the shit to hit the fan, offing Trump would do it and justifiably so. I that was to happen I would hope that patriots and 'wingers' would mount "protests" such that Antia and BLM riots would look like Romper Room. Anyways, my guess is he's probably safe from government, at least in that respect. I find it hard to believe even government agencies would stupid enough to physically harm Trump. But hey, ya never know. WTH... they could always call on Killary to get the job done.

I'm not convinced that would be the case or would deter them. We are already being portrayed as white supremacists, MAGA extremists, radical right wingers, even terrorists. The antifa and BLM riots bought about none of those descriptions, they were portrayed as "mostly peaceful protesters" as we watched them burn down cities, take over entire neighborhoods and declare autonomous zones and there was no attempt to even slow them down, they took over federal buildings and when Trump sent the feds to take control, as soon as the fed buildings were cleared the governor threw the feds out. As soon as there is any sign of any groups on the right rising up they will unleash National guard and probably the military to put down the insurection and then the purge will begin.

Maybe, maybe not a deterrence. I hope we don't have to find out. And I'm ok with being called a right winger, though I am not "radical". And I'm ok being referred to as MAGA extremist, though I don't consider myself an "extremist". And they can call me white supremist and or a terrorist, I don't much care. I'd rather be called that than a leftist or a traitor. Antifa & BLM riots were described as mostly peaceful only by msm. There were leftist politicians that hid, and all but a few refused to comment on the summer of love. Even though the killing, destruction and mayhem was quite evident, plus LEOs ambushed and killed, along with civilians. But the leftists could see what was going on. They just have a problem being honest about what went on. I have a couple of lefty friends that were shocked by it, the left knew exactly what the deal was. I'm sure you're right about the Guard showing up to put down right wing mass actions, so be it. So the Guard gets busy and earns their pay...
