MTM Plastic Ammo Crate by Case-Gard - ACR4 Plastic ammo crates
I grew up and remember my first .30 and .50 cal steel ammo cans. I was paying $3 and $5 for them. Best batch I got was some Canadian .50 cans (same as US cans, different latch). I paid $6 a piece and they were pristine, used once from a testing lab project. Now steel cans are going for $15 for very used crap and $20 new.
The smaller .30 cal plastic cans are not to my liking. Last Christmas my kids got me a couple of these. These are slightly downsized from the original MTM Ammo Crates. The, size and modular stackability are nice. Size to weight capacity I like. I use them to hold and organize my reload boxes. The larger ones were too large, these seem to be just right for my application. I did drop a smaller-full one about 4' and everything survived just fine. They have "O" rings and seal good. I miss the old US manufactured steel cans but in the meantime these seem to do the job.
