The suspect is Jarrod W. Ramos, a 38-year-old Laurel man whith a longstanding dispute with the Capital, according to law enforcement sources familiar with the investigation.

I'm just fuckin sick of this. Used to be a story like this didn't get to much public light. Now, someone drops a spent casing and the media is on it like flies to shit. Exactly what MSM does ...... suck shit.

I would add, "and knowing you could have stopped it if you were permitted to be armed".

Describing the moment as like being in 'a war zone', Davis said he and his colleagues were hiding under their desks, listening to the gunman firing and reloading until there was sudden silence.

Since there was no one to confront him, the only reason I can think of as to why he stopped is because he had achieved his goals and killed those he was seeking to do harm.

Fish in a barrel. If you're going to lock doors, you should at least use the crash bars or emergency exit systems so people could get out. What if there had been a fire???

Throughout the whole article they keep repeating how the police arrived in 60 seconds. But they don't say how long it took them to get inside.
This person had enough time to wander through the newsroom to find and selectively kill specific targets, then discard his weapon and hide under a desk. That sounds like far more than 60 seconds to me.

'The shooter has not been very forthcoming, so we don't have any information yet on motive,' Anne Arundel County Executive Steve Schuh said. 'To my knowledge, there was no verbal aspect to the incident where he declared his motives or anything else, so at this point we just don't know.'

The whole article is chock full of "motive". A Facebook stalker gets butt-hurt because the newspaper outed him for what he was and went on a shooting rampage when it was clear he would not win in court.

To me, this sounds like the work of yet another mentally unstable individual.

But it's the gun's fault.
