No.yeah?
Did your comment include "if it is a Right, why do you need to seek government permission?"
We should not have to apply or receive a PERMIT to defend ourselves.

Napalm in the window squirts?
High speed reverse?
I wonder how many people could avoid getting boxed in like that in the first place?
Personally don't roll the windows down.
Honestly, I would not know what to do in that situation except force my car around.
I have thought about this, a lot. I know exactly what I would do.
I have run the scenario through my mind many times, I have read up on more laws and regulations, yeah, I know what I will do.
Any advice?

Is fear for life/safety required to take measures to escape the illegal blockage by pushing thru with a vehicle? That seems like too high a bar. Free passage on public streets is a right shared by all citizens. One shouldn't have to remain trapped by the crowd until their safety is in imminent and obvious danger. My truck is wiring for sound and video from all sides. I know how to use words to manipulate the crowd so they react in a hostile way. I will be scared and the protesters will force me to fear for my life and safety. They will be forced to move out of my way.
I was taught to push through a danger zone. Always push througthe zone of danger and harm.
One thing I’ll tell ya is that these people (the drivers) are in their own little world. Despite everything going on, they still don’t think anything bad will ever happen to them.Napalm in the window squirts?

My SUV has an air suspension I can raise it up for more ground clearance... and a big V8 engine. Hope nobody gets in front of me.I can't visualize a good way to push through a crowd in a Civic, or whatever kind of shitbox that guy was in. Maybe back up and go down the street to the right - that looked mostly open.
Imagine the hilarity that would ensue if you got the thing hung up on a rioter,,,er, protester.
When does blocking traffic cross over into attempted kidnapping or carjacking ?My truck is wiring for sound and video from all sides. Even a shitbox subcompact weighs more than a dozen protesters and has enough horsepower to bury them all.I can't visualize a good way to push through a crowd in a Civic, or whatever kind of shitbox that guy was in. Maybe back up and go down the street to the right - that looked mostly open.

Maybe not kidnapping but definitely false imprisonment. They aren’t letting you leave an area.If someone acosts you and prevents you from leaving, isn’t that kidnapping ?
If that happens I will consider it a deadly threat and I will start shooting. I am prepared to do so.If they make any move to attempt to remove you from the vehicle, surely thats carjacking.
It would be nice if they got pushed out of the way, but if one of those fat bastards got lodged under the car, I don't think you'd be getting away.Even a shitbox subcompact weighs more than a dozen protesters and has enough horsepower to bury them all.
Only way they could stop it would be to flip it over, and if you sit still long enough for them to manage that you deserve what you get.
I wouldn't be a sitting duck. I want to keep moving. I want to be proactive and not wait around for it to intensify. I will drive over curbs, I will drive through peoples front lawns, I will back up or perform a J turn if necessary. This is a maneuver I suggest everyone practices because it will enable you to get away quickly if you are being boxed in. If you wait until you're surrounded it's too late. You may not be able to get away. Your vision will be obstructed. You could drive into another car or object and become trapped. The key is to keep moving and get out of there. Waiting around in a stationary car is not the way to go.Not sure on legality but personally if I am stuck behind a crowd in a car I will wait. If they start banging on/hitting the car I take this as a violent escalation and would begin driving away, even if people are in the way, albeit slowly. If they start trying to gain access to vehicle/breaking glass, etc. all bets are off. Of course I am filming this all on a dash cam all the time anyway, and would also start filming on phone in case dash cam isn't working or whatever.

I have done it a handful of times in empty parking lots. You're out of there before anyone knows what happened!I love that manuver. I have gone through a few EVOC training sessions, all of them were big on this technique. Very easy to learn, practice makes perfect!
For sure. Too slow and the front end won't come around. You'll just back into something! The faster the reverse, the better it goes for the driver.
The other cool fact about J turns is that they don’t require a powerful vehicle or anything fancy. Just good rear brakes. The faster the reverse, the better it goes for the driver.
If you watch the video you can see the flesh of his bicep explode in a cloud. That’s not powder/smoke from barrel.Rosenbaums head wound was only a graze, the one arm bastard was so close it was pretty much a contact wound, I’m willing to bet most of his arm blew off from the muzzle blast
