My 30 year old son went to buy his first shotgun, in Mexifornia

so i get a text from my son, saying he's going to buy a handgun in California. I ask "aren't you trying to move back to Texas, wait til you get to Tx , it will be easier to get a CCW permit there, in Mexifornia it will take two years to get a pistol permit, if you need a firearm, go get a shotgun, inexpensive and easier to acquire"

He went to "Turner Outdoors" and was going to buy a Remington 12ga, but they REQUIRE a "Gun Safety Certificate" before they can transfer the fire to him.

So I looked up the California Gun Safety Certificate course ~~~ it 46 pages long, Chapter two is nothing but "Gun Safety and Children" ( he's single, and honestly, I don't see marriage in his future)

Chapter three, is all about revolvers and pistols. How they operate, how to take them apart. single action, double action and safe pistol handling. Also includes "Physics of Gunfire" ????? WTF?

this is what people in Mexifornia face when trying to purchase a shotgun, I can't imagine what you have to do to get a pistol permit. They are doing everything and anything to discourage people from buying firearms.

LOL. Seriously though. A permit is not needed.
My sister lives there. No permit.

Studied a pamphlet, took test, paid $25 and got that certificate.
