This started as a budget build but quickly turned into whatever it costs to get what I like build. Just waiting for the gas block to arrive since I changed my mind (shocker) and went with a clamp on style vs set screw to the barrel. The stock is being changed out already in an effort to lighten it up some. The scope and mount added a bit more weight than I was shooting for. Still have ro sit down and do the figures but am thinking it is going to come in around the 1000 range with scope and mount included into the figure.

Congrats...I have the Magpul on a featureless and its pretty good. I wouldnt say its much lighter than a plain A2 rifle length stock. Looks like all the weight is in the front of yours. A heavy stock would balance it better. I have to admit that the skeleton stock would look baddass on that build of yours.

So finally got a chance to go to the range yesterday. Put around 70-80 rds through it and went good. My only issue, which may not be, is I don't remember the brass deflector on my m16 showing signs of brass actually hitting it. I realize that the has system is different so that could be playing into it.

My AR has brass colored dings all over the deflector, it seems normal.
