My daughter at an Indoor Rimfire Challenge

We got (after a lot of meetings) approval for an indoor Rimfire Challenge league.

So this was our inaugural night. I was up first followed by my daughter. We still need to tweak and work out a few things. We started with paper targets for uh... political reasons.... I hope we make it to all steel eventually.

Anyway, I thought it would be fun if she got out there to show the noob adults how it was done and yes, she did beat many of them! She did just rifle this time.

what is the white part of the wall under the targets ?? i'm starting to think outside of the box for you for more fun ..
can the white section be shot at ?? ..

idea ..

set targets at every other lane or so .. even use the white and brown like in IPSC shooting
even set up barriers to shoot thru at some stages down the line ..

shooter starts at lane 1 and works down to the end lane .. has to move up say 10 feet then move back for the next .. mix it up as they go
down the shooting lanes .. you could do like 2 shots at lane 1 .. .. run/walk (kids) to lane 3 and 5 to 10 feet closer , 2 shot thru a window barrier .. ect ..

It's fiber board to stop lead and sand from coming back into the range floor.

You could but it just makes it's lifespan shorter. And shooting even lower into it makes more splatter come back, and could actually deflect back into the steel backstop and back towards the shooters.

Oh yeah I hear ya, would be fun . There could be ways to do it, maybe add more fiber board up top too. I used to shoot at that range all the time when I shot on the Marathon team and practiced there after work. Sometimes our team would do range clean up duty seems that range was ours to use after our past range was closed, it was in the basement of the high school.
I've seen a lot of lead halfway back up the floor, sometimes even closer to the shooters.
It could be done, if the club wanted to put some more money into it.

It can't be shot at, the lead is collected behind it. This is a trial run to prove the naysayers we can do it safely, so of course I have to showcase my daughter!
