Well, with a lifetime replacement warranty, for $25 how could you go wrong? If it ends up being crap, at least it didn't break the bank. The Norgon ones are solid though.

True ... as long as you find out that it's crap when it doesn't really matter. Imagine if SHTF and, when trying to change a mag, it breaks off internally in way that keeps the mag from being releases or the mag release from being removed. Bet you'll wish you'd spent the extra $47 for the Norgon.

Will keep you guys updated as to quality. I just ordered one for my SCR Build. Was going to wait on the Knight Arms ambi release but it seems like they are backordered for a while.

Technically, 1100, since that already accommodates a similar recoil system. While most 1100 stocks will fit 870s (the 1100 being a successor to the 878, which was in essence a gas-operated 870, this makes sense), the opposite is not true (see, for example, the Magpul SGA.)

It's from a 12 ga. Remington 1100 Special Field:

Takes just a little modification, like any other 1100 stock. I shortened the length of pull a little while also squaring up the pitch, and then add a thin Kick-Eez grind-to-fit recoil pad (which I actually ground after that pic was taken.) I also used a 12 ga. 1100 bearing plate, which you should for any wood stock. It's gone through a few revisions since. This is more recent, but I've actually swapped a 10" 2A BL rail in for the 12" one shown:

I have a AU and Knights Armament ambi mag releases on my SCRs and they both work great. I prefer the KA one as it is slightly longer; works better for my short sausage fingers.

Were you able to get a BAD Lever to work with your SCRs? I finally got my lower in and it looks like none of the ambi releases will work for me

Yes, I had to bend mine slightly.

And on another note some of us should say if we are right's or lefties ( I'm right-handed ) and the factory mag-release is not in reach of my right hand without un-grasping the stock, hence using my left hand with the Ambi release when changing mags on the SCR and also the Ruger PC 9.

I hear you bud. I'm a lefty and have normalish hands. I still wont be able to drop the magazine with my left index finger with any of the available ambi mag release options out there.

Have you checked out Odin Works? They have an extended mag release button. I'm adding one to my build. Could be an option for some of you righties.

Thats what a BAD lever is supposed to do.

BAD = Battery Assist Device

None of the ambi dex mag releases will work with the BAD lever on an SCR because of the extended length of the SCR lower.

I also found that ambi dex mag release is pointless on an SCR due to the size difference of the lower compared to standard ARs, unless you have ET length fingers.

Not getting into a pissing match! I misunderstood that you got the BAD lever to work thinking it was for a mag release, which is what I posted about the Troy Ind. that I used on mine.

Once I pop a new mag in I just flick it on the way down.

I was going to modify a BAD lever but after thinking about it, you have to use your shooting hand to activate it instead of your finger. It is easier for me to keep my finger next to the trigger guard and then use my other hand to release the bolt in the factory location. To me it would seem counterintuitive to use a modified BAD lever.

I would agree with you, as I mentioned earlier these modes depended on which side you were shooting from. The BAD lever mirrors the function of the factory bolt release for a lefty. If I could reach it with my right hand trigger finger it may have worked for me also.

The AU ambi mag release came. Seems like a decent enough part. Some machine marks but similar quality to the Troy in my other rifle. Good value for 25 bucks.
