My Glock P320 kinda... lol

Well today I picked up my Glock G45 frame since i can throw my G19 slide in it.

But this got me to thinking, i will still have my G19 frame and if I even need a bit more concealment I can always just toss the slide back on that, and even better I have an old G19 frame that I chopped way back in the day to take G26 mags. So if I really need deep concealment.

I also eventually plan on getting a Glock 19L slide (ag17 length) and barrel, which would work on all 3 of the frames, giving even more combinations. All three frames can also use my x300u and my Tier 1 Concealed holster, or if I'm going for most concealment I have that minimalist vanguard trigger guard holster.


Oh and then I also have my standard G17 and a Chipped G17 frame (takes G19 mags) and maybe later down the line I'll pick up another G17 frame and chop that ti take 26 mags..





I dont have all the lower components in all the frames right now but they are somewhere which would make all this just a quick slide swap and go

That’s pretty cool. I’d be interested in a range report on swapping all these out to make sure fit and function is flawless. My guess is of course yes.

So both 19 frames run flawless. I'll be hitting up the range for the G45 frame but it should be flawless as well.

I took the Gen 5 trigger out and put my gen 3/4 agency trigger (my thinking is the geometry will be a better fit with the gen 4 slide internals). And the only other things needed for a gen 4 to run on a gen 5 slide (not counting the 17 or 34) is a gen 5 back plate and a single slide stop instead of the ambi

As you allude to, why didn't you just go with the Sig P320? Basically the same gun and they have the conversion kits already made. No chopping required.

Because honestly I think the 320 is subpar at best, sig usa is a crap company, and the title is more of a joke because the only thing 320 owners seem to be able to brag about is "modularity" which is nothing more than a parlor trick

X frame is different than a standard 320 and even then it's still just another polymer striker pistol so not going to waste my money switching over an entire system just because of a kind if useless parlor trick such as "modularity"

Let's see, the 26 size frame was my first 19 from years ago when I thought printing was a thing and a 19 would be to big to carry. It's pretty much sat in the safe shorty after

The 17 came shortly after because a 19 grip size isnt hard to carry at all but a 17 slide shoots smoother and "sight radius" which is a moot point once I got my 19 slide milled, and picked up a 19 frame so was back to a 19..

Picked up a 17 frame so i can actuall shoot production so the 19 size G17 frame is and has been doing the same as the 26 frame sitting in the safe.

The G45 frame because I have a 19 slide already milled that I can toss right on leaving my 17 again all set up for production class but the 17 has a better grip than the 19, the hump on the 19 doesnt fit my hand and a 17 isnt hard to conceal either. And if I really really feel like it I can get a 19L slide and put it onto the G45 frame and make it a G17 (Well actually a G45)


So to recap 3 frames are just going to sit in the safe with no real use.. if I really really needed to they could be grabbed and used... "Modularity" is nothing but a parlor truck with little to no practical application.

(Oh and for the lulz the G45 G19 and I think maybe the G17 frame are all listed on the license as either "multi cal" or 9mm/.40sw/.357sig and stupid state requirements aside all the frames can be set up in those 3 calibers)

Well what do you know... the one cool thing the P320 offers is well..... not that special

I agree with you. The 320 compact feels fairly nice in hand but I fondled the 320 subcompact and I could barely hold the gun with the sights lined up. It’s so barrel heavy the front the gun just takes a nose dive. I was very disappointed. The subcompact is useless IMO.

I also figured it would function well all around. It’s a cool project and post.
